I have been listening to a lot of PD lately..for those of you in the know you know that means Personal Development, or ‘self help’ books.
One of the statements in the Darren Daily ‘The Compound Effect’ book he talks about owning 100%. Taking personal responsibility for you and your actions and your behaviors. No finger-pointing, no excuses. If it is to be it is up to me attitude. This INCLUDES losing weight!! What?!?! Yeah, he really called me out on that one. He states that you may say you want to lose weight but the Doritos dust on your fingers tips proves that you really don’t want to. He also went on to share a story of a women who wanted to save money and become rich. She decided she needed accountability and started blogging EVERY day what she spent and how much on everything…EVERYTHING people!!!
So that brings me to my food blog. I WANT no NEED to lose weight. I am a freaking licensed fitness instructor dammit this should be EASY!! I am here to tell you it is not. It is hard. It requires motivation. It requires discipline. All the things I do not like.
So here is my word vomit/food blog/confession of a fitness lover health chaser…….
Breakfast: Shake with mixed berries coffee with half and half. Espresso with half and half and creamer. Hmmm… so far so good.
Work: coffee with half and half.
Lunch: salad from home with homemade vinaigrette dressing. Beef jerky, pita chips and hummus. Had a can of Coca-Cola too.
Snack time?? Found a bag of peanut M&M’s king size on my desk ate them ALL plus the chcoloate a co-worker stopped and gave me.
Dinner: Had ravioli with pesto sauce and a bowl of honey nut cherrios.
So yeah, I struggle with food. Now the whole internet knows it, or at least the few who may actually see this today.
