Pizza crusts counts…

Woke up this morning a bit depressed. Still processing information from yesterday that has me doubting everything. I feel uneasy about things. Not sure what is going to happen always leaves me uneasy and when I am uneasy about things it leads to depression. When I am feeling the depression coming on I feed it food. Lot’s of food, mostly carbs and very little veggies.

Here is how my day played out (food wise)

Woke up had coffee and creamer, two cups. Also had a cup of hot cocoa.  Made breakfast for hubby and I. Six slices of turkey bacon (hubby didn’t want to eat his so I had to help him out) two slices of toast with spreadable butter, two scrambled eggs with cheese. The eggs were cooked in olive oil.

Lunch was the rest of the salad from last night with the balsamic dressing. Had a slice of pizza. The hubby had two slices then gave me his crusts. He is very giving that hubby of mine. I have to count the pizza crusts I eat too, right?

Met up with a friend today around 2PM at a coffee shop. Had a 20 ounce double shot dirty chai latte.

Dinner tonight was one of those roasted chickens from the store. I ate ALL the crispy skin while I was making dinner. I made chicken fettuccine alfredo. I used large egg noodles instead of fettuccine noodles. The sauce was made with milk, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. The secret ingredient was cauliflower. So I guess I did have two servings today after all.

Water is at 125 ounces.

Did expansion core yoga today. Makes me feel a little better.

Salmon burgers…….

I didn’t sleep at all last night. Seriously, I didn’t. I have no idea how I was able to make it through work. I was numb in the mind and emotions (until the end of the day when I lost it) I am happy that even though I didn’t sleep I still got up and worked out with a friend. I promised I would and I showed up and that is what matters. I will tell you that I have no idea how in the heck I am still awake right now.!! I should be passed out, I feel very wide awake still. This is how it started last night. Ugh. Hope it is not another toss and turning with my brain not shutting off night..

Anyway here is how the food played out today. I have excuses but I am not going to use them. Here it is:

 

Breakfast was coffee with creamer, one cup. Super foods shake Cafe Latte flavor with spinach, almond butter and blueberries.

Get to work and have two cups of coffee with creamer and three Christmas cookies that a co-worker brought in today. Ugh. Tis’ the season.

Lunch was 1/2 cup of tuna salad with the cauliflower puree and celery. One slice of FFC bread. One cup of kale salad with parmesan cheese and croutons. Also had diluted lemon  dressing. I wanted more food so I bought a bag of Tostitos corn tortilla chips (two servings in one bag) and a cup of Tostitos nacho cheese cup.

Dinner was TWO Angry Orchard Knotty Pear Hard Cider. One cup of frozen green beans, one tablespoonful of garlic aioli and the salmon burger pictured above. The salmon burger has carrot puree in it too.  I was determined to FINALLY make this recipe forgetting that it called for putting the patties in the fridge for one hour first. Yikes! Who has time for that? So I popped them in the freezer and took a shower (I feel better after that) while they set. Hubby and I really enjoyed these! He had his on a bun. I saved one for me to have for lunch tomorrow. I will be making these again and again! So good.

I am only at about 125 ounces of water today. I did do my Yoga Flow on the Go workout this morning and that makes five days in a row. I am excited that I am developing consistency.

Thursday……

I am sore from yesterdays workout. That makes me happy but when I smile about that it hurts!! Ha ha! True story. I am also happy that it is Friday eve. So ready for this work week to be over.

This is how my food played out today:

Breakfast was three cups of coffee with creamer (um one was decaf) My yummy super foods shake today (pictured above) was cafe latte with spinach, blueberries, and almond butter.

One of my friends/coworkers was celebrating a birthday today so I stopped at the coffee shop to pick up a cake pop and a mocha maple spice, yes I picked one up for me too. The coffee not the cake.

Lunch was a can of tuna with a spoonful of mayo, dill pickles and black olives. One slice of fcc toast (that means fiber filled carb) Half of a red bell pepper and 20 salted cashews.

Dinner tonight was a cheese stick and a  carrot. I know so exciting! I was tired after yet another long day at work so I didn’t want to make anything. I did have enough energy to peel and slice the carrot but, yeah that is about it for me tonight.

I did do a yoga workout this morning, even though I am sore from yesterday. Today’s was a stretch and release workout. I think I really needed it!

I am currently at 125 ounces of water and working on another cup.

shhh….there’s veggies in there….

Seriously, there are veggies in the dinner tonight. Okay I know in my picture above it is obvious there are veggies in my dinner, but in my hubby’s dinner it was rice and chicken. I added cauliflower puree to the sauce the chicken was cooked in! He liked the taste of it too! One more day of adding something nutritious to his food. One day closer to bringing him over to my side…..bwahahahahahahaha…..

Had breakfast with one of very good friends today. We get to see each other a couple times a year, mostly from scheduling. Anyway we went to a very local yet beloved place today called Kalico Kitchen. I love our face to face visit and covet the time with her. It is a very blessed way to start a Sunday off.  Anyhoo, this is how my food day played out:

Coffee with creamer two cups. Headed out to breakfast had three more cups of coffee with half and half and sugar. Three cups. Ordered the egg tacos. These are very good. It was two fried corn tortillas stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. I added salsa to them too.

I ran to the grocery store after our breakfast, tried to do my shopping without a plan. Ha! that is never a good idea! Forgot stuff and bought things I didn’t need. #bigsigh

Got home and helped myself to three pieces of the Girl Scout Almond Butter cups along with half of a bell pepper and half of a peeled slice cucumber. Guess I will call that lunch today.

Made dinner tonight, pictured above. It is one of the recipes from the Jessica Seinfeld cookbooks. It was called creamy chicken. I served mine over veggies in an effort to get back to protein/veggies for dinner. It was pretty tasty. I made rice for the hubby. I had enough leftover rice and chicken that it will be my lunch tomorrow with more of the roasted veggies. I like having lunch packed and ready the day before. Gives me more time in the morning.

I did decide to have ‘dessert’ tonight. Made myself a super foods shake. I had vanilla shake with turmeric and cinnamon. I added ice cubes to make it more shake like. It was a nice dessert! Adding the turmeric made it like golden milk that I used to make when going through chemotherapy.

I actually did a workout today!?!?!? A full thirty minute workout that is! Yoga all over body workout.

Had 160 ounces of water today too. I am feeling pretty good about myself about now. It isn’t perfect (neither am I) but it is better than I have been doing. I am CHOOSING to make better choices from here on out. Especially after the hubby informed me that he has noticed attitude changes in me but not more than ten pound physical changes in me. #saddays My end goal is to make him proud of me and this means I am not near my goal yet. I must work harder.

It’s a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving….

… My husband was worried that he missed the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special the other day. He kept asking me if we had missed it. He was so happy to find out it was on tonight. I got home after work AND running to the store the night before Thanksgiving (crazy like that) Hubby said that no matter what he was watching Charlie Brown tonight and I was welcome to join him. So I did.

When I was listening to Darren Hardy today for my PD he shared something that stuck with me today: When in doubt choose the harder task. The one you don’t want to do is usually the one you SHOULD do. So much truth to that!!  If I want a trimmer waist line then I MUST do the hard things. Like NOT going to the coffee shop for the special today. Which by the way was hard for me. It is maple spice latte, my favorite and I wanted one so bad……talked myself out of it. I will admit it took a lot of talking but I did talk myself out of it.

Anyway, here is the breakdown of food today:

Breakfast: Coffee with creamer, two cups. Today’s super foods shake was vanilla with spinach, mango almond butter and a splash of turmeric.

Got to work, SKIPPING the coffee shop mind you, and had four cups of coffee with the amazing maple almond milk creamer that I am now officially addicted to.

Long day at my desk waiting for FedEx to call me back, they didn’t so I snacked on some of the Girl Scout sea salted Cashews that I had just bought from one of my staff, you know to support their kid… (sheesh I am a sucker) had 1/2 cup of cashews.

Eventually I went to lunch about 2:30 because my team made me go. I wasn’t really hungry and I wasn’t super excited about my lunch either. I ate some of it; half an apple, 2 cups of spinach with pumpkin seeds and more of that dijon dressing.

After my “quick run” to the grocery store I settled into home for my dinner. Hubby made himself a couple of cheese crisps, I had veggies and an Italian sausage with one cup of the roasted veggies (they are so good still) and Wicked Green Apple cider the whole bottle.

Watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving with the hubby and am currently cuddled up in a warm bed watching Monk on Amazon Prime. I am very happy in my little world right now.

Water is 150 ounces today. No workout.

Coffee and creamer…

Weighed myself this morning and I was disappointed.  I had started going down on the scale and then just like that I bounce back up. I know that tracking all my food is what is going to help me figure out where I am making my consistent errors at. I know that my MOST consistent thing everyday is my coffee with creamer. I drink almond milk based creamer but it still adds calories. I am not ready to give up my coffee and creamer so this weight loss journey could take a really long time.

Alright, with that said here is my rundown of food today:

Breakfast coffee and creamer three cups. Chocolate vegan super foods shake with spinach and blueberries.

Get to work and have another cup of coffee with creamer. (oh boy, don’t judge)

Lunch was 1/2 of an apple, one boneless chicken thing cooked in olive oil. Salad with mushrooms and pear vinaigrette.

Had a cup of decaf with, used guessed it creamer.

Dinner tonight was meatloaf. I made tureky meatloaf that is laced with veggies (carrots and cauliflower) and half a plate of roasted mixed veggies, that I made yesterday! It is brocoli, onions and different color of bell peppers. Very good. I roasted them in olive oil and a little salt and pepper. I had garlic aioli with the meat loaf. For dessert I had a cup of hot chocolate with milk.

No workout today. I had 135 ouncs of water. Outside of all the creamer I think I did pretty good.

another day done…

Woke up today. Sometimes I feel like that is half the battle. The other half is minding my emotions when I don’t feel well or am tired. Seriously, it is hard to keep my mouth shut and my emotions from telling me to eat. Today was one of those days. I didn’t keep my emotions under control when things went wrong. I am tired from not feeling well and that didn’t help either. There is no food in the house and my plan was to go after work. That didn’t happen either. Too tired, too emotional, too many excuses.

I called my hubby told him I was leaving work and I was too tired to go to the store. He said come on home. I did. I ordered Chinese takeout. I am now over full and slightly embarrassed to tell you what I ate this time. Yet here I am confessing to you once again.

Breakfast: coffee with almond milk creamer (shoot I don’t have any for tomorrow) three cups. Cafe Latte super foods shake with almond butter and blueberries.

Went to work and had another cup of coffee with creamer. Then I ran up to the coffee shop and got a 16 ounce dirty Chai latte.

For lunch I had a cabbage/romaine salad with bacon bits and a maple bacon vinaigrette. Half of an apple. A serving of raw almonds.

Now dinner is a much different story: Chinese take out that involves seven fried cheese wontons dipped in sweet and sour sauce. Two spring rolls dipped in sweet and sour sauce. Broccoli, it came in the orange chicken container. Orange chicken, a few pieces of plain fried chicken that I, yep you guessed it, dipped in sweet and sour sauce. One fortune cookie that said ‘luck is coming my way’. Wish it said health and sleep were coming my way.

No workout today. Although I did shower so that is one step better than the weekend.

Water was okay. 150 ounces.

My turn for the crud…

I have been fighting off the cold for about two weeks now. I think it has finally gotten it’s hold on me. Bleh. #thankshubby  So basically I have been in bed napping off and on since about 2PM today.  My mistake is I am binge watching the new season of the Great British Bake Off. I am really rooting for Rahul.  Watching the show makes me hungry and gives me a false sense of wanting to bake things.

This is how my food played out today:

Breakfast was three cups of coffee with creamer. One over easy egg and some hash browns. Had two glasses of grapefruit juice for my scratchy throat.

I was too tired to make anything for lunch so I ordered pizza for takeout. Hubby went and picked it up. It was sausage, black olive and mushroom. I ate three slices. It hit the spot.

Dinner was my super foods shake. Cafe Latte with spinach. It is an extra boost of vitamins. And that sums up the food for the day. Hopefully I feel better by tomorrow.

I have about 125 ounces of water so far. Probably will get another 25 ounces in tonight. I am finishing the Vegan Week on the show and I no longer hungry after watching them make meringue out of chick peas.

Free bacon and Free coffee in the same day!….

It is Wednesday and I am here to confess my food journal to you. My back was still hurting when I woke up this morning from my yoga injury this morning. It is actually better now. I went ahead and did a yoga workout this morning hoping it would work out whatever it worked in yesterday. As the day progressed it really did start feeling better. When I started my workout this morning every time I went into downward dog I could feel my back starting to spasm. Bleh.

Anyway this is how my day played out:

Breakfast: two cups of coffee with that amazing Maple flavored Almond Milk creamer. Did you know that my spell check does not like the word creamer?  Made my  super-foods shake. Today was cafe latte with spinach, dark cherries and turmeric.

Wanted to get to work earlier so I left earlier. Leaving earlier means I get to go to the coffee stand for a latte. Stopped and got a 16 ounce Maple Spice latte. AND it was FREE today!! Cool.

I am at work trying to work through my emotions and stresses from the day before keeping my head down and catching up on what I left behind from yesterday. Next thing I know my co-worker Mike taps me on the shoulder and says ‘on my desk’ I walk over  and there it is; perfectly crisp lovely bacon on his desk. AND IT WAS ALL MINE!!!Five perfect pieces of bacon. FREE bacon and FREE coffee in the SAME DAY!! Oh what a wonderful world I exist in!

As the day progressed I did need to have another cup of coffee with half and half. Yes, I said need.

Lunch time rolls around and I have my cabbage, broccoli salad with the greek vinaigrette, green olives and shredded chicken. Dang it I still can’t spell vinaigarette! Tomorrow will be the last day of that salad. The bag is empty. I will buy it again though, I really like it! Anyway I was still hungry so I ate all my snacks too. That was a piece of string cheese, cucumbers and pita crackers.

Then I was cold so I made a cup of decaf coffee with more half and half

Came home from work ON TIME (holler) it was a 7:30AM to 5:45PM day. That makes me happy..ish…

I poured out a glass of grapefruit juice (throat is scratchy) added Tito’s vodka to it, you know to kill the germs. #justify Then I made the hubby dinner which was prosciutto stuffed ravioli with pesto sauce. Caught myself eating them out of the pan. A total of sixteen out of the pan to be exact. Asked my hubby to rub my head, neck and shoulders for a bit. Everything is starting to knot up again. Talked myself into having another Angry Orchard Easy Apple.

Now I am calling it a night.

165 ounces of water (after I drink this cup sitting next to me) and the yoga workout this morning. Outside fo the carbs for dinner I am pretty darn happy with myself..I mean come on, free bacon and coffee today!

Hurt myself during yoga…..

I think I am the only person I know who has injured themselves during a yoga practice. Once I fell out of a pose and injured my shoulder. Another time I fell out of a pose and injured my hip so bad I couldn’t teach Zumba for a month. Today I think I must have done one of the poses incorrectly and now pulled something in my lower back. It keeps locking up in a painful way..bleh.

Any way this is how my food played out.

Breakfast was coffee with almond milk creamer, two cups. Cafe Latte super foods shake with dark cherries and spinach.

Went to work and brewed a cup of coffee with half and half. Then I needed something stronger so I went to the vending machine and got a bottled Starbucks Mocha frap. I was feeling cold so I brewed a cup of decaf with more half and half.

Lunchtime I had shredded chicken with a Greek vinaigrette and cabbage, broccoli salad with green olives. Half of an apple, pita crackers and humus. It was all very good!

Had an incredibly stupid stress fun day at work. Guess I should call it a day at grade school instead! I don’t understand when it happened but at some point people stopped understanding how to listen and follow directions OR when they are “grown ups” but are acting like they are thirteen and have no common sense of what a work environment should be. Okay I will stop… I was just giving you a back story to explain my dinner.

My dinner was two Angry Orcahrd Easy apples and 3 mini bell peppers.

Yep. That is my “fitness coach” nutrition at it’s best.

I am proud to say that I did at least accomplish “dinner and done”

150 ounces of water today and Yoga practice that tweeked my back.
