147.8 Did I hit some goals this year?…..

I was all excited because I decided to measure my things. Why would that make me excited? Well, when I was looking at my ‘vision board’ (I prefer to call it my goal board) I saw “slimmer thighs” with numbers next to the R and the L. I measured and I hit those goals!!!! WOOT!! Then I realized those were my STARTING numbers! wah! ¬†I didn’t lose and inch or half-inch or even one-quarter inch. Does that discourage me? Well maybe a little. In fact at first it discouraged me a lot. Not only did I not hit my thing goals, I looked around and realized I didn’t hit ANY of my goals. That is very discouraging.

As I started looking closer it dawned on me; I may not have hit them but I am a LOT closer to them. I will just have to keep working at them.

On the plus side today I did PASS my 2B Mindset Mentor certification!!! Can I get a ‘way to go’? This goes tight along with the mindset that I am trying to change in my life. Finding the balance between healthy and happy. It is something I am working on myself about. If I can live it in MY life it will be easier to help others make it happen in theirs. That is what health coaching is all about. Helping each other.

With that said I am still filling out my tracker on a daily basis. Do I have this down yet? Absolutely not! Will I get it? Yes, I will! It is the holiday AND my son is coming home at midnight tonight. We are not doing a lot of presents but we will be doing a lot of good food. Creating those happy memories through the smells and tastes. I started early ūüėČ

Breakfast: coffee with almond milk creamer; three cups. Cafe latte super foods shake with spinach, blueberries, almond butter, cinnamon and turmeric.

Cleaned the kitchen and baked the banana apple muffins the hubby loves. Had a small cutie orange and a bite of an apple.

Lunch was the remainder slices of pizza. They are large New York style thin pizza slices with sausage, mushrooms and black olives. One cup of salad greens with some cucumber, black olives, red onions and tomatoes. Diluted balsamic dressing, two tablespoonfuls. One Ghirardelli dark chocolate 60% cacao. Four mini non-parliels.

Dinner is two cheese crisps baked in the oven. I didn’t really measure the cheese. I guess you could call it two handfuls. Ate the remainder of the salad. Had a One Tree Cider Lemon Basil. It is 22 ounces. Four of the small homemade chocolate chip cookies made by my friend.

150 ounces of water. Yoga stretch today along with filming five videos for my Cancercize YouTube page.

I know it isn’t perfect but I am very happy with today.

Monday. Dexa scan 146.8….

Had my dexa scan today, maybe deca scan.. It is a bone density test. It is one of the easiest appointments I could possibly ever have on this cancer journey of mine. No calcium 24 hours prior and no metal, buckles, or zippers. I wore my workout pants and my wireless bra. Turns out I still had to take my bra off since it had metal hooks. I did put on my work shoes and long socks so I looked quite hilarious in the waiting room. Black knee-length workout pants and socks with cups of coffee on them! Oh well. Made the appointment go easier. I had to turn my left foot in and then the technician strapped my foot in place. It was just funny when she asked me to turn the foot in then explained that she would “secure” it in place. No matter, it went smoothly and hopefully when I see the oncologist ¬†on Wednesday it will have good results.

I am super stressed out about the Wednesday appointment. I know it is what is driving me to eat too much and hot flash too much and not sleep well. Bleh..

This is how my food played out for the day along with emotions too:

Coffee with unsweetened vanilla almond milk; two cups. Chocolate super foods shake with spinach, blueberries and almond butter.

After my appointment I get to work later than usual (duh) and make a cup of coffee with the last of the maple almond milk creamer. Then one cup with almond milk.

Lunch was kale/cabbage salad, one and half cups with pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries, 1 tablespoonful. Had four cherry tomatoes and poppy seed dressing too. The dressing was about 2 tablespoonful and a splash of water to thin it out.

Ate humus and pita chips too. Love the salt. I find it very comforting.

After lunch I enjoyed one of those Lindt chocolate truffles. I really wanted an Almond Joy but we were out of stock. Really hoping after Wednesday I will have less bad cravings and less hot flashes.

Got home and the popcorn the hubby had ordered from Amazon came in. He shared a bag with me. Smartfood White Cheddar popcorn. It was very good! I may have to snag another bag from him tomorrow.

I opened a bottle of Angry Orchard Knotty Pear and started making dinner. Dinner took a long time so I opened another bottle.

I made more of the baked pasta for dinner tonight. This time I used butternut squash instead of carrots in the sauce. It is strictly because I was out of carrot puree so I had to improvise. I still had a bag of cauliflower puree in the freezer so I had that in there too. I steamed a cup of broccoli to accompany my pasta. (pictured above)

So I am counting that as two servings of veggies. That means I had three and half servings of veggies today. At least that is how I am logging it.

Water is at 125 ounces and I did a yoga practice today too.

Thursday……

I am sore from yesterdays workout. That makes me happy but when I smile about that it hurts!! Ha ha! True story. I am also happy that it is Friday eve. So ready for this work week to be over.

This is how my food played out today:

Breakfast was three cups of coffee with creamer (um one was decaf) My yummy super foods shake today (pictured above) was cafe latte with spinach, blueberries, and almond butter.

One of my friends/coworkers was celebrating a birthday today so I stopped at the coffee shop to pick up a cake pop and a mocha maple spice, yes I picked one up for me too. The coffee not the cake.

Lunch was a can of tuna with a spoonful of mayo, dill pickles and black olives. One slice of fcc toast (that means fiber filled carb) Half of a red bell pepper and 20 salted cashews.

Dinner tonight was a cheese stick and a ¬†carrot. I know so exciting! I was tired after yet another long day at work so I didn’t want to make anything. I did have enough energy to peel and slice the carrot but, yeah that is about it for me tonight.

I did do a yoga workout this morning, even though I am sore from yesterday. Today’s was a stretch and release workout. I think I really needed it!

I am currently at 125 ounces of water and working on another cup.

I showered….

yeah, you read that right. I showered. Why do I feel the need to blog about it? Well, this time of year I find that I only shower about twice a week. It may be gross for some but the truth is that it is cold outside and inside and I am just too tired with how dark it gets so early in the day and can I make anymore excuses? #breathe No. It is cold and I just don’t want to be standing around with wet hair in this weather. I don’t want to sleep with wet hair either. #excuses Anyway the hubby doesn’t mind the hairy legs and lets face it the extra hair keeps my legs and arm pits warmer…..#whatever

My day is not a good day with food…I will write it below EXACTLY how I journaled it today:

coffee/creamer 2 shake-vanilla/spinach/blueberries

mocha maple spice 16oz……….caramel latte 16 oz. Side note: I bought the latte as a surprise for a friend who then didn’t show up at work today so I decided to drink it myself.

tacos salad, 1 cup ground turkey taco meat, cheese moldy cabbage-yuck (yes you read that right, moldy cabbage) Scott brought me a 1/4 pounder with cheese large fries and a coke from McDonalds. Ate half the fries the whole burger and drank most of the soda. Still taste the mold. I feel full and bloated and my tongue tastes so gross!!!! more water STAT!!!!

1 cup mac and cheese with hot sauce. I used butter when I made it. 16 ounces lemon basil hard cider

I am on my 150 ounces of water. No workout

My turn for the crud…

I have been fighting off the cold for about two weeks now. I think it has finally gotten it’s hold on me. Bleh. #thankshubby ¬†So basically I have been in bed napping off and on since about 2PM today. ¬†My mistake is I am binge watching the new season of the Great British Bake Off. I am really rooting for Rahul. ¬†Watching the show makes me hungry and gives me a false sense of wanting to bake things.

This is how my food played out today:

Breakfast was three cups of coffee with creamer. One over easy egg and some hash browns. Had two glasses of grapefruit juice for my scratchy throat.

I was too tired to make anything for lunch so I ordered pizza for takeout. Hubby went and picked it up. It was sausage, black olive and mushroom. I ate three slices. It hit the spot.

Dinner was my super foods shake. Cafe Latte with spinach. It is an extra boost of vitamins. And that sums up the food for the day. Hopefully I feel better by tomorrow.

I have about 125 ounces of water so far. Probably will get another 25 ounces in tonight. I am finishing the Vegan Week on the show and I no longer hungry after watching them make meringue out of chick peas.

Lasagna saved the day…..

….seriously it saved the day!! Okay maybe it just saved my lunch. Did I tell you that I chose to sleep in today? Of course I didn’t I haven’t been on here yet. #duh ¬†Sometimes when I write I write like I talk: all over the place and half of it inside jokes in my own head. Oh well. I have like seven followers who actually read this and they all know me, so I am sure they read it like they are listening to me. (:

I did wake up late. Not really late I just didn’t want to get out of bed. I kept yelling at Siri across the room demanding she turn off my alarm for me. She wouldn’t. Then when I finally dragged my cold feet out of the bed to hit snooze the screen wouldn’t let me. So I brought the phone to my bedside and just kept restarting the ten minute timer. #somedayIwillgraspthefivesecondrule

I drank a bit last night so my weigh in this morning wasn’t so great, I don’t having another tonight. Which brings me ¬†to my point. Time to log in my food and be transparent to the world…hahahahaha the seven people I mean. ūüėČ

Here is how it played out today:

COFFEE!! two cups at home with creamer. Cafe Latte super foods shake with turmeric, spinach and mango.

On the way to work I stopped by the local coffee shop and had a 16 ounce mocha maple spice. Drank about half of it and then filled it back up with coffee and added some half and half to it. Still just as good.

I brought spinach salad with cucumbers and tomatoes with some Italian dressing and one Italian sausage. My friend gave me some of her left over lasagna that  her hubby (a professional chef) made. It had sausage, mushrooms and onions! So good! Totally hit the spot and filled me up.

Decided that for dinner we would have breakfast. Was going to swing by the store and get some orange juice for the hubby and I. Both are struggling with whatever form of the cold going around. I have a bit of a scratchy throat. Got to the store and it was packed and I am just too tired and sore to fight with crowds tonight. Came home and cooked up the turkey breakfast sausage patties. Made toast and scrambled cheddar eggs for the hubby. My dinner was scrambled eggs with cheese, mini bell peppers and broccoli. I ate six of the sausage patties. They are small and I am hungry. I also drank the last bottle of the Angry Orchard Knotty Pear. They need to make all their hard cider as hard. Not a fan of pear but am a fan of the higher percentage of alcohol. PS alcohol burns off the germs (my story and I am sticking to it)

I did not work out this morning. I didn’t shower either and I am sure people could smell it. I did have 170 ounces of water though, so there is that.
